I Don't Know My Ring Size; What should I do?Updated 2 years ago
Getting the correct ring size is important. It can be a source of some anxiety if you are not able to try the ring on or indeed if you are buying a gift for a loved one! We can help. If you don't know the ring size you need we suggest you:
Get our free ring sizer
We offer an easy-to-use, free ring sizers. Go to any of our ring product pages and click the pale blue Get Your Free Ring Sizer link above the size listings for that style. Our sizers take the guesswork out of getting a perfect fit for your ring. You can find details on using the sizer to get the most accurate results here.
Get sized locally
If you are choosing a ring for yourself, you could visit a local jeweler and ask to be sized. This will give us a reasonable starting point. Using 2mm ringlets that look a bit like soda tabs on a jailer’s keyring will give accurate information for engagement and dress rings. In fact, it should be accurate for any ring up to about 4mm in width.
Get sneaky
If you are choosing for a partner or a loved one, we have some tips for getting sneaky with your sizing…assuming the ring is a surprise!
Remember accuracy is key
We strongly recommend staying away from string, dental floss, and paper ring sizers. Unlike the metal found in a ring, string or paper sizers can stretch or twist quite a bit, yielding an inaccurate measurement. If you are not using our ring sizer, make sure the measurement tool sits flat on the finger and doesn't stretch, tear or twist while using it.
